The New Mutants
Looks good. Glad to read that they're back to Boone's original vision.

Black Widow
You know, I really like the filter they're using to get that sharp, muted visual. The geography of the locales looks great. What I don't like is when they get Fast & Furious with the action scenes.

Devil All The Time
Wow. Looks like it could be a contender at the Academy Awards, and I'm still not quite sure what it's all about. Robert Pattinson, what a career this guy is having, huh? From Twilight to Batman and beyond. Tom Holland too, wow. The movie is stacked with talent, but those two are front and center so they stood out the most.

Here is a list of movies I am looking forward to, in no particular order, with my reasons provided. I became aware of several of these movies by listening to yesterday's John Campea Show. Dylan, I hope this list makes you proud, it's almost as comprehensive as your lists are known to be (almost).
The Little Things- Denzel Washington, Jared Leto, and an awesome trailer. You got me.
Nightmare Alley- It's directed by Guillermo Del Toro, yes directed, and it has a ridiculous cast. I don't know anything else about this movie, but those 2 in and of themselves have me intrigued.
Top Gun: Maverick - Everything in this film is supposed to be either real, or done practically. Sometimes this is not enough to make an action film successful. Interstellar boasted the same and received mixed reviews. Cruz has a strong track record though with his stunt shenanigans, so I'm in.
Mission Impossible 7 - Same reasons as above, mostly. Moreover, this franchise has been very consistently good. The last 3 in the franchise have earned 94%, 93%, and 93% positive ratings in that order on Rotten Tomatoes. Yes, I've seen all of them and enjoyed them tremendously. None as much as Ghost Protocol, but still. The franchise has definitely earned my trust and anticipation.
Nomadland - This movie is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97% critic rating. The synopsis reads, "A poetic character study on the forgotten and downtrodden, Nomadland beautifully captures the restlessness left in the wake of the Great Recession." It may get some academy recognition, and is anticipated to be one of this year's Best Picture nominees. Also, this is a movie where people are playing a version of themselves, essentially. Apparently it's not a documentary, so that's also a point of intrigue.
Eternals- This is taking the MCU to, potentially, its most cosmic roots yet. Marvel made this film because Chloe Zhao came to them with a strong pitch, and they were impressed with her movie Nomadland which is receiving acclaim for the reasons listed above.
Shang Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings - This is the MCU's first Kung Fu movie. The rumors surrounding the plot of this movie make it sound like an MCU Cosmic Mortal Combat film. Count me in.
Mortal Kombat (2021)- Aside from the original guilty pleasure in the 90s, there have been other movies made based on this famous video game series. I've only ever seen the original though. This movie may end up being a train wreck, and has had some negative press surrounding it. That said, the studio gave it the biggest budget a Mortal Kombat film has ever had and an R rating. Ratings don't make a movie great, but considering what this franchise is known for, that's enough for me (for now). Will this be a successful exercise in excess violence and brutality like the John Wick movies? We shall see.
Dune- It's a big budget, A-lister loaded, sweeping sci-fi adventure from acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve. More importantly, it's the movie that stirred Legendary Pictures to fight back with the WB and make them agree to an exclusive theatrical release, AT&T be damned. Visually it looks amazing... I wasn't crazy about BladeRunner 2049, but the final shot of the Dune trailer alone has me intrigued. Count me in.
Suicide Squad- James Gunn is bringing the same kind of frenetic energy he brought to the first Guardians. This has the promise of delivering what Guardians Vol.2 did not: something very James Gunn that's accessible to the masses AND fresh.
No Time To Die- This is the final Daniel Craig led James Bond film. The trailers look amazing. I'm sold for a viewing.
A Quiet Place 2- While Krasinski has slowly been reintroducing himself in Hollywood for years since "The Office" ended, the first film helped Krasinski reintroduce himself to Hollywood as a serious creative. Like several of the films on this list, the trailer looks amazing. I'm eager to check out the next installment to see what is in store.
Godzilla vs. Kong - I loved Kong Skull Island, and I love the character of Godzilla. Hopefully they do this film justice. That is all.
The Tomorrow War- The plot alone has me excited. Check this out: Earth is undergoing an alien invasion and they find a way to bring soldiers back from the past to fight the war.
The Last Duel- Directed by Ridley Scott and boasting Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Adam Driver. Should be epic.
The Matrix 4- Admittedly, the last 2 live action Matrix movies didn't do it for me. However, Keanu Reeves is at a stage in his career where he really doesn't need this movie, and he isn't known for being a sellout. Hell, even Bill and Ted Face the Music scored an 82% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. So, if he's back, that's enough for me to give this a try. Fingers crossed.
Black Widow- I'm anticipating this mainly because this is an MCU film. Unlike many other films on this list, none of the trailers have blown me out of the water. I wanted this to be a smaller, more intimate, lower budget, gritty character study. The MCU can do whatever they want nowadays and still make a ton of money, so why wouldn't they do that? They'd increase their profit margin for sure, possibly even their gross profit. So again, why wouldn't they take that approach? Maybe because they think they can still give the character a big send off in the form of a prequel (of sorts)? Feige has claimed this movie will show us a side of Natasha we haven't seen before that will add depth to her character in the movies we have seen her in. If the MCU has shown us anything, it's that they can take an established character and redefine them in ways that both compliment and build on prior depictions. That being the case, let's see what they bring to the table.
Last but certainly NOT least,...
Spider-Man "3" (Sequel)- Just how many and which of the many rumored castings are true? Will this be the John Wickesque sequel to Far From Home, or will it be a multi-verse spanning tie into Marvel's Phase 4? OR, will it be both things that comprise this closer to the first Holland lead trilogy? God only knows (talking about you Feige... JK), but what was once spectated to be the MCU's opportunity to take Peter Parker to a more back to the basics approach of the character is now the most unwieldy, most talked about superhero film of all of Marvel's upcoming slate. This may be the Spider-Man movie that not even we the obsessive FAN PEOPLE dared to dream of. I'm in, as is every version of myself from the multi-verse. This movie cannot come fast enough.

Suicide Squad- I'm excited to see what I believe will be a more appropriate adaption of these characters. The cast looks great and James Gunn is a great director. If this gives me Guardians vibes, then it's a success in my book.
Spider-Man 3- I'm equally excited and worried. The leaks make it sound bloated but I'd almost bet money over 75% of the cast leaks are cameos that lead into a multi part story.
Halloween Kills- I'm interested to see how this works as a trilogy. The new Myers continuity is the original, Halloween 2018, and this movie. There's apparently going to be a 4th. While I love the franchise and the character, I want to see where else they can take it.
A Quiet Place 2- Acting in the first one was brilliant without having much dialogue. Unique concept pulled off very well. I want to see more of the creatures and maybe get a backstory to them.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife- The director of the first two said this movie made him cry and that he was proud of his son (he's the director for this one). To see him follow in his dad's footsteps and hear it made him proud makes me excited for this.

Good list. I also should have mentioned that the first "A Quiet Place" movie was hailed as one of the year's best, whereas the sequel is anticipated to be just as good. Just add it onto the list of reasons the movie has me hyped.
Also, I can't believe I forgot to mention Ghostbusters: Afterlife! The stuff you shared about the guy who directed it is news to me. How special it is that he's the original director's son! It definitely adds to the story behind the story.

Godzilla vs. Kong
I'm hopeful, but my expectations are very tempered for this one. I really enjoyed "Kong: Skull Island" but found the 2014 and 2019 U.S. Godzilla films lacking. *fingers crossed*

This got me excited, particularly seeing Godzilla actually fight during the day. Skull Island is my favorite MonsterVerse movie so far. I liked the 2014 Godzilla, seeing it as your basic Godzilla movie amped up to 11, but the 2019 one definitely left me underwhelmed, from the grimey weather making it hard to fully appreciate the monster designs and fights from the human characters being your basic tropes (the smartass, the geeky guy no one takes seriously, etc.) compared to how they felt more authentic in the previous film; though Ken Watanabe was the best in both. Hopefully GvK will tie everything together nicely, and I'm wondering what if any other monster will appear. My theory is Destroyah (mutated from the severed Ghidorah head) will cause the two mains to team up.

I've saw Skull Island but I've yet to see the 2014 Godzilla. Is it required viewing to watch Godzilla vs Kong?

The trailer delivers on this being a completely different movie. Darkseid is huge; a giant even compared to Steppenwolf. I'm excited. Wish it was coming out a little sooner, but what can you do?

Cherry - Tom Holland
I'm seeing some mixed reviews for this movie. Apparently, Tom Holland shines in the film though and it could be something that takes his career to the next level. The trailer definitely has me interested.

I missed 8 and Hobbs and Shaw, but have seen the first seven. A friend and I watched them "ironically", but by 7 we had to admit that they got us. You can tell the cast loves being a part of these, outside of just the pay day. How could you not? People love these films, they seem like they have a ton of fun traveling the globe to make them. Over time, they've been able to attract bigger and bigger names. How could you not enjoy making these if you are Ludacris, or Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, or Jordana Brewster?
The movie looks ridiculous in the best way possible. I think I'm going to see it. After watching the two I missed of course.

Marvel Studio Presents: Phase 4
This made me emotional. I LOVE the new titles. Aren't they so epic? So much for titles like "[insert franchise here] 2". Not that Marvel hasn't mixed it up before, but their title game on phase 4 hit another level.
