Aquaman
This looks like A LOT of fun. It also looks like it could be Jupiter Ascending bad. It's James Wan though, and the guy makes entertaining films. Straight up, there's no two ways about that, so you know what? I'm excited.

Child's Play (2019 Reboot)
I'm torn on this. Purists are unhappy with this reboot and recommend the tv show headlined by the original voice actor Brad Dourif. His contribution to the original Child's Play movies is immeasurable. Then again, the last 3 or 4 haven't been great. The second to last one was an improvement, but nothing to write home about. Dourif has been involved in all of them, which begs the question, how much creative control does he have, and does his involvement really mean anything about the quality of the product? I guess I just don't know a whole lot about the show, so I haven't been sold on it yet.
This trailer, on the other hand, has caught my attention. Obviously they've turned a voodoo/witchcraft concept into a sci-fi thing, but it's still an evil doll designed to be your best friend running around and killing unsuspecting victims. I think they could have something here, and the trailer makes it look like they nailed it.

Won't You Be My Neighbor (2019)
Why is it that anything Fred Rogers related instantly brings a tear to people's eyes? I know it's not just mine. Looking forward to this, Tom Hanks' take on Roger's looks so good.

Gemini Man Trailer #2:
That intro is brilliant. This looks so good!!! They took a totally different approach than de aging for this. I'd like to see it in IMAX 3D if I can find the time.
Zombieland 2
It's about freakin time. Took them long enough to put a trailer out. This looks good.

Oh man, I'm so pumped about Gemini Man! That, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Ford v Ferrari are the three movies I'm most looking forward to right now.

I'm really excited for Zombieland: Double Tap. Zombieland is one of me and my nephew's favorite films to watch together. Same thing with my dad. It's got all the best elements of a horror comedy. It's darn near perfect for that niche of a sub genre.

Like Rush, Ford v Ferrari is another historical drama revolving around racing. I think I might be picking up on a pattern. I'm really excited for Zombieland: Double Tap. Once Upon a Time In Hollywood: This film is already out, but I thought I'd post about it here. I was considering going to see this opening weekend, but after seeing a few reviews online coupled with the reaction of a friend of mine who saw the film, I'll probably wait. If this was a film whose production I'd followed closely like we do for Marvel films, I'd see it anyway, but this is a Tarantino film. I don't think I've seen any of his films in theatres. Add the fact that the friend who saw the film is someone who I can gauge my reactions on pretty accurately based on his own reactions, whether or not we agree, I just don't feel any rush to see the film right away. While I don't mind that this is one of Tarantino's more dialogue heavy, maybe less accessible movies to someone who wasn't alive during that era in Hollywood history, it does bring me some pause. Without seeing it, I can't give it an accurate assessment, but stuff like what is being described in the article below disappoints me and makes me feel less urgency in catching it right away: www.thewrap.com/bruce-lee-daughter-mockery-once-upon-a-time-in-hollywood-shannon-lee/I'll admit, Bruce Lee tends to be worshiped as this inhumanly gifted fighter, someone that could beat literally anyone in a fight in his era up through now. Still though, how about some more respect for the guy? Tarantino writes comedy, but considering how many cheap knock offs have spawned since Lee's death, I was hoping a super talented director and fan of Lee like Tarantino could have given him better treatment. Again, I do plan on seeing it, but I'm not in much of a rush.

You know, I've become a fan of Formula 1 last year, in no small part thanks to Rush. I didn't think watching cars racing round laps would be fun, but man is there a lot strategy and drama to it!

Joker (teaser)
Joker (official trailer)
These two trailers are among the most compelling trailers I've ever seen for a superhero related movie. Like the first Logan trailer, except, miraculously, more so. The teaser has been out for months and the final trailer dropped 4 days ago, but I realized we never posted it. Critics are losing their minds over it, and the usual junkets I frequent like Collider, IGN, Emergency Awesome* are all giving it crazy praise. I'm excited, gonna catch it on opening night with some buddies.
*Not a junket, but a really good channel for dissecting news scoops on Youtube.

Infinity Saga Trailer
There isn't really a good place for this, but I just think the trailer is beyond epic. The way they reworked Tony creating the suit in the cave in the music and then wove it into all the other themes. I've said this before, but I'll say it again: I didn't like Alan Sylvestri's original Avengers Score. It has gotten sooo much more dynamic over the years as he adds to it and enhances it. Ugh, I get the chills.

I wish there was a way to have access to the bonus disc without having to buy the whole $500+ box set. I already own every movie. I have everything up to Dr. Strange on DVD and then on Vudu I have both Guardians, both Ant Mans, Avengers 2 through 4, Homecoming, Far From Home, Dark World, Ragnarok, Iron Man 3, and Captain Marvel.

Wonder Woman: 1984
I really enjoyed this. When the first Wonder Woman came out in 2017, I was really impressed with the stylization of her fights and the way they portrayed her abilities. This movie looks to be taking it up several notches, but it doesn't look like it has lost its soul to CGI chaos.
