Explaining the look of the Sentinel: www.superherohype.com/news/289087-x-men-days-of-future-pasts-future-sentinel-explained#/slide/1"They're biomechanical weapons. We had to come up with what would be the ultimate version that could actually, in principle, stop the X-Men. We started with this idea that they were almost made up of magnetic plates slapped over one another, imagining that the plates could contract or grow, so the Sentinel can be skinny to get through a small space or the plates can open up to become a bigger shape. So they have become virtually unstoppable."That does make sense.

The "almost made of magnetic plates" part has me interested. Anything made out of metal is off the table when going against Mags. So, what are these made out of?

It's possible that this could be Wanda:

Quick Silver looks so silly. I understand the practical aspect of his get up on the Empire cover, but the hair isn't quite right in anything I've seen so far. They should've dyed his eyebrows too or something.

I'm feeling a little nervous about this movie. I can counter all of my reasons for being nervous, but I'm still nervous. Some of the things that have me a little antsy (which I've already argued against myself, with myself ) are lack of actual footage beyond the teaser, rumors of a major character being removed from the film (now debunked), talk of this movie being a huge tie in to other films. That trailer due in about a week can't get here fast enough.

Hooray for ice slides! Finally. This looks good, much bigger and cooler than the previous X-Men movies.

I must admit to being worried about this film. That 25 moments thing is really cool though, it restores some of the excitement I had for the movie. We've had this discussion before, where we talk about the effective use of history to enhance fiction. Back to the Future, Forest Gump, Transformers, XMFC, all very different movies that almost have no business being in the same list, yet all have that one thing in common. I wasn't sure about Singer being able to pull the history thing off as well (especially with time travel in the mix), but those were some really cool moments. I love the 1970's look of the photography, the Chernobyl bit was a neat touch. I think the trouble with these movies is there are such deep themes going on in the background that they almost never get to be fully realized. Nolan was able to hit a lot of themes in his Batman movies in a way that I felt were fully fleshed out. There's only one hero there, so they can do that without having to juggle as many pieces.
