I call bull. Nolan and Snyder working on the movie I could handle, but not Bale as Batman. Nolan and Bale's realistic Batman is DONE and would not make sense in a Justice League world for so many reasons. I wish that rumor would just die. Besides that, these same guys said they were making a Planet Hulk movie, which has since been debunked, so they're not exactly reliable; the news alone should indicate that.

I don't hate the choice of having Synder directing, but I thought for myself man of steel was a little disappointing and I'm still not exactly sold on the affleck as batman casting choice but I guess I'll wait to see how it goes.

I guess I have to finally let it rest that the TV and movie universes will become one. I don't get it though; Miller's the same age as Gustin. Whatever. I'll be comparing them deep down though. I'm glad they got a plan though. I just hope they're good.

Some of the experts view it as a positive thing though. Take AMC movie talk. Their viewing of the universes being separate as a positive thing is largely in part due to Agents of Shield (AOS). In particular, AOS has demonstrated an inability to enhance the movie universe, and the movie universe's affect of diminishing the cool factor of the stuff they get to do on tv. However, if the tv people can do whatever the heck they want to do without being beholden to the confines of the movie story and vice versa, everyone is allowed more creative freedom. Comparisons will still be made, but at least the one will not hurt the other.
I fall in the same camp as you though. I'd really like to see Stephen Amell's arrow next to Batman and Superman. That kid they have doing Flash is pretty darn cool too. I don't really see this new actor as Flash, but that's only in look. In this case, that reasoning is the most shallow thing I can base my judgement on, so I don't feel too strongly about it either way.

What an announcement! While it's likely a good way to compete with Marvel, announcing all these films at once feels a little overwhelming... Excuse the analogy, but I feel it is like having sex and trying to rush the climax.

For sure. There's definitely this sense of one upping going on, which is pretty freaking cool for those who aren't wrapped up in those stupid Marvel vs. DC wars. There's talk of Batman and Superman solo films coming along sometime during that time too, but I wouldn't be surprised if Marvel makes an announcement in the near future, only to have it followed the next day by DC announcing those. Or, vice versa. Don't know which to be the most excited for to be honest, but I really did enjoy that Assault on Arkham animated movie that came out. It is one of DC's most entertaining direct to dvd releases in a while. It has me pumped for Suicide Squad.

Batman v Superman spoilers abound in this article about what the end of that movie means for Justice League: www.ew.com/article/2016/03/26/batman-v-superman-ending/2There was another, more practical reason that Snyder decided to go this route, as well. He felt Justice League, which begins shooting April 11, would be a stronger story if it didn’t have Superman assembling the team.
“I wanted Bruce Wayne to build the Justice League,” Snyder tells EW. “I felt like with Superman around, it’s a different conversation when you create the Justice League, right? It’s like, ‘Me and Superman, we want to make a Justice League.’ [Other heroes would be] like, ‘Okay, yeah, I’ll join!’ I just feel like Bruce Wayne having to go out and find these seven samurai by himself, that’s a lot more interesting of a premise.”
It also forces Bruce Wayne to put his detective skills to work as he and Wonder Woman set out to find Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, the others. “I also I felt like, without Superman, there is definitely a vulnerability to the team that they’re gonna need to figure something out, you know? Superman does represent the powerful. He’s the Michael Jordan of heroes, he’s gonna score.”
With him out of the picture, the League can’t rely on his invulnerability either. And a part of the reason they team up is to find a way to bring Superman back – much like the goal of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was to rediscover Luke Skywalker. This is actually pretty goddamn brilliant. I'm just hoping they actually do still start production on April 11.

Agreed. This is why I don't want them to start again from scratch. While some of the world building didn't work for me, I think it's really ballsy the way certain characters like Flash were used. It's as if Warners is like, "... and then in this scene we're going to tear open the time space continuum and have an advanced tech suited Flash give Bruce advice. Someone else asks, "Is there any context?" Warners is like "f*** no, but we're doing the s*** out of it!" Another person asks "but does Barry do it in a dream?" Warners is like "who gives a s***! We have the speed force!" . I'm not being facetious when I say that I kind of admire that approach, even though it's not working as seamlessly as I'd hoped.

Course correction is looking good. I really like the banter, and for as much complaining as people have for Gal Gadot's acting, nothing is sending off red flags in either of these trailers (talking the WW trailer of course).
