First off, in case you missed it, the film is set to release March 3, 2017. In an interesting piece of news, it appears that Patrick Stewart will reprise his Charles Xavier role and it'll be somewhat of a team-up movie with him and Logan: www.superherohype.com/news/329399-wolverine-3-could-team-up-hugh-jackman-and-patrick-stewartHmm, if I had to guess, it could have to do with Xavier helping Logan unlock some memories from the current timeline. Sure Logan may remember everything from the previous timeline, but the current timeline memories have to be buried in there. They must discover something that Logan has to look more into. Call it wishful thinking, but maybe this will lead to the introduction of Daken snd/or X-23.

So, rumor has it this will be based on the Old Man Logan story from the comics, and that it will be rated R. I see the Deadpool effect has reached Wolverine. Not sure I'm worried though. When Arronofsky was attached I wanted an R rated Wolverine movie because his work is usually so raw. The character also lends itself to the R rating. Just hope they stay true to the character. Never read Old Man Logan, but I've read about it and it sounds like fun. Something R rated could be really cool. The director's cut of 2013's The Wolverine was so much more satisfying with all that blood.

I think the success of Deadpool will spark a lot of Rated R superhero movies. I feel like Wolverine should be rated R to begin with. He's always been a pretty savage character, especially in newer comics. Old Man Logan is a perfect example of that. I've not read the whole thing, but what I did read of it was pretty gory.

I... absolutely... LOVE IT!!!!! I felt the Guardians' teaser was just the right dose of awesome, and I honestly didn't expect to get that out of Logan. Hoped, but didn't expect it. It's like Mad Max, with a dash of Clint Eastwood style western thrown in the mix. Like Star Wars, this looks like a movie that's actually going after awards recognition rather than fan service (not that I mind fan service ) If James Mangold and his writers are on their game for this one, and if Fox actually let's them do their thing without injecting the usual studio BS, this could be different in a way that the Marvel universe has never seen (across the board: Sony, Fox, Universal, Disney, Netflix, etc.) I've no idea what I'm most excited for next year. Seriously, Logan just tied for first with all of them. So maybe that makes them all last?!?? Also, I've been enjoying the Last of Us comparisons.

I felt the same way ,I think this is going to be a phenomenal movie and I can't wait to go see it! Reading Old Man Logan re-sparked my interest in Wolverine and I really thoroughly enjoyed it. I hate that this will be his last time as Wolverine though. Do you guys think with Marvel and Fox having better relations that one day we'll eventually have a younger Wolverine cast for the MCU?

Maybe. I dunno, I like that Jackman always appeared to be in that 30 to 40 something age range. Hopefully if they do cast younger they'll give him an aged up look. They could always cast Tilda Swinton to be edgy, and sort of do the Marvel version of that guy leaving Verizon to do Sprint.

I'm actually having myself an X-Men marathon as week speak. Just watched X1 and now I'm watching X2. Gonna watch X3 and X-Men Origins tomorrow morning, and finish it up with First Class and The Wolverine tomorrow night. I don't have Days of Future Past or Apocalypse, unfortunately

I still need to see Apocalypse again. I enjoyed parts of it. It was the best Singer had to offer, and also the worse of what he had to offer. I'm ready for something new though, which is why I'm so blown away with this Logan trailer.

I really love the tone and I don't feel like its going to tick tack on R-rated elements. It's weird to say but it feels kind of like an indie survival film. X-23 is a great catalyst to this kind of road trip story. I like how we go from a sci fi totalitarian apocalypse to a post war wild west apocalypse. I know everyone makes fun of the time line issues, but I enjoy the different angles the franchise has looked at.
